Garmin express icon has no image

When I was running Garmin Express in Windows 8.1 I had trouble with
the Garmin Express icon not having an image. Is there anywhere I can
download a full blown icon that I can install it. Or is there a way to
correct the problem that I haven't been able to find.

You may try updating your Garmin Express. They seem to have frequent
updates. I am showing version 4.1.5.0.

I'd start by upgrading to Windows 10. It may be all you need to do

I guess I wasn't all that clear in my post. When I was running Windows
8.1 I could not get a Garmin logo in the icon that was in the taskbar
and that carried over to Windows 10 which I have just recently
installed. There was no Garmin logo on the icon in the taskbar just a
blank white rectangle. Although when you put your cursor on it it
showed that it was Garmin.

Now, I checked and I have Garmin Express Version 4.1.5.0 and as far as
I can tell it's the latest version.

I think I found the problem in that when I tried to pin the icon to
the taskbar I left clicked the icon on the desktop and clicked "pin to
taskbar" and when it did it showed up blank with no Garmin logo.

I uninstalled Express and reinstalled it. I opened it and the icon
showed up on the taskbar showing the logo and when I left clicked on
it and clicked on "pin to taskbar" it did and kept the logo, so I
guess I have everything straightened out but keeping my fingers
crossed ;-).

I think everyone for their help.

This is a weird problem. If you pin to start no icon shows. If you change the express.exe and express.exe.config file names by adding anything to it - I added a 1 - create a shortcut and pin that to the start menu it shows the icon fine. NOW, go back to the shortcut in all programs and click that one. Everything works fine even though that shortcut is pointing to express.exe. Don't believe it? D&D that shortcut to the desktop and inspect its properties. Now open that shortcut and express opens fine. Don't believe that? go back and look at the properties again. SURPRISE, it now points to the modified named file.
