I replaced mine about a year ago and it was pretty dead after about 5
months - again.

Anyone bought from a supplier that's any better ? Brand name of battery ?
Source ?

Thanks

The battery in my Garmin is rechargable. I have another device that has a
flat battery that is also rechargable. I have a charger with adjustable
terminals that will clamp on different size flat batterys. Don't know if
this will help your case or not.

Charger with terminals? Can't you just plug the Nuvi into a cigar lighter or
a USB port? I used to use the little AC-to-USB adapter that came with my
smartphone.

Those rechargeable batteries eventually die too. I think that is his
problem.

I've had good luck with batteries from bulbtronics.com in the past.
You can often find cheap phone and gps batteries on eBay, a good deal
if it is a brand name, crap shoot if not.

I've never had a bad battery from eBay, even the ones shipped from
China. And the prices are right
