Dear Experts

Yesterday I got a new Nüvi 2599LMT-D. Garmin Express provided some
updates of firmware and map software, which worked without any problems.

During the years with my "old" Nüvi 1390 I added a lot of adresses
and other POI's to "Favorites". Is it possible to transfer these to
my new Nüvi and, if yes, how?

I have tried this using POI loader, but with disappointing results:
the volume of transferable POI file is identical on both devices (384
kB). Shouldn't that file be larger with the "old" Nüvi?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Best regards

Reinhard

Hi,

Many thanks for your hint. Till today I've used Garmin Express just
for map updates. Now scrolling down I found exactly what I had been
looking for: a transfer function for Favorites. I only had to mark
source and receiver of the Favorites and - bang - transfer was done :-)!
Obviously Favorites are backed up together with other data before a
map update is carried out; so it was not necessary to create an extra
backup.

Thanks again and best regards

Reinhard
