My Garmin Nuvi has led me astray so many times, I wouldn't doubt it.

"Self may have followed bad GPS directions in trying to get to Lakeview. While in Fields during the search for Self, Williams punched in where Self said he wanted to head into the same brand of GPS device he had and it led him to Stonehouse Road."

Lack of real life experience and common sense probably did him in. The
GPS could have been a contributing factor if it led him to a road mostly
impassable by 2WD trucks.

I would agree with Ed Pawlowski.

I recall driving in that area back before I had Garmin equipment, using
Microsoft Streets and Trips on a laptop.

It suggested some routes that were very secondary: the lines on the
display were nearly invisible, but it was also otherwise obvious from
where they went that they weren't interstate highways.

But I'm older than 18...so even though it was late May or early June, I
didn't go on any of them.
